National Cyber Security Legislation Reviews

The analysis of national legislative

The common knowledge and experience of the EU member states in the field of cyber security has enabled the EU to design the most advanced and comprehensive regulative framework for the cyber domain, including the digital transformation and cybersecurity market. This knowledge allows Member States’ experts to consult the governments in developing countries in their efforts to adopt effective solutions and thus help harmonize the requirements they impose on their supply chains and providers of vital services. The harmonization of requirements to share EU values contributes to the expansion of the common market and creates added value for member states.

Objective

The analysis of national legislative initiatives may also be necessary for the European Commission in assessing future member states’ aspirations. The EUCN team has consulted on national legislative initiatives and provided evaluations of draft laws in line with best practices in the region or a specific EU regulation or directive.
