Cyber Crisis Communication

Table-top exercise on testing cyber crisis management procedures and cross-border information sharing

The training will combine theory and practice-based learning, focusing on the cyber crisis management communicational aspects and strategic communications. The seminar instructors will present government-level crisis communications methods and procedures and cover inter-departmental incident handling coordination and communications challenges. The training will focus on practical case studies illustrating good practices and loopholes of crisis communications and disinformation management and include practical team exercises to go through the complexities of cyber crisis response from a communications perspective.

Objectives

  • To define and establish relevant regional cyber incident information sharing.
  • To train and establish forming a commonly recognised and used information picture.
  • To establish regional and international decision-making procedures as well as making proposals for the higher level (executive, strategical, political).
  • To define relevant gaps and shortcomings in the legislation, mandates, procedures, and resources needed for regional collaboration in case of a regional cyber crisis.
