EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellowship to conclude with the visit to New York

EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellowship (EU:CD Fellowship) will have its final activity this week with the fellows’ visit to New York to participate at the UN’s Open-Ended Working Group on ICTs.

The EU:CD Fellowship, which started at the beginning of this year, will conclude with a week-long participation at the UN’s Open-Ended Working Group on ICTs and side-events in New York.

Launched in cooperation with EU Cyber Direct, it sought to foster global cooperation and contribution to the United Nation’s framework for responsible state behaviour and pave the way for a secure digital future. Fellowship supports professionals from governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in engaging in international cyber diplomacy debates through development of skills and knowledge at individual level by covering issues such as countering cyber crime, strengthening cyber resilience, data governance and digital cooperation.

EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellowship started in February 2024 and has involved monthly activities such as online sessions on topical issues and a study visit to Brussels in April. Fellows originate from Benin, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Montenegro, Nigeria, Serbia, Seychelles, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Ukraine and Uruguay.
