Strengthening Cybersecurity Resilience in Cambodia: EU CyberNet Completes Scoping Mission

EU CyberNet concluded strategic scoping mission in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia this week.

EU CyberNet team engaged in dialogues with key stakeholders across Cambodia’s cybersecurity and digital governance landscape to exchange views and explore potential areas for future cooperation.

The scoping mission brought together perspecives from Cambodian national institutions, including the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as well as development partners, academia, private sector, civil society and international organisations. These exchanges provided an opportunity to discuss Cambodia’s digital development and cybersecurity priorities.

EU CyberNet will identify the key priority topics and work to implement activities with Cambodia in the coming months. Potential areas for  future cooperation include cybersecurity education and awareness, increased legislative clarity, support for MSMEs, strengthening national cybersecurity capabilities and addressing new and evolving cyber threats and challenges. EU CyberNet looks forward to contributing to and collaborating with existing initiatives led by its partners, while exploring further opportunities to support Cambodia’s cybersecurity priorities.
