EU CyberNet Strengthens CSIRT Maturity in Thailand

EU CyberNet conducted a training session on 2 Apil 2026 security incident management maturity model (SIM3) to strengthen the capabilities of Thailand’s computer security incident response teams (CSIRTs).

Training, led by EU CyberNet expert Don Stikvoort, supported Thailand’s sectoral CSIRTs in understanding SIM3 methodology as well as translating the findings into actionable improvements to address gaps.

The participants received the overview of the SIM3 framework (background, objectives and core principles) as well as the SIM3 online tool and practical guidance on applying SIM3 to sectoral CSRITs. Discussions focused on assessing SIM3 results along with level of maturity, identifying and prioritising capability gaps, and exploring practical approaches to improving CSIRT processes and services. Participants also examined ways to strengthen governance, policies and coordination mechanisms, and enhance incident response.

EU CyberNet looks forward to continuing its support for Thai CSIRT teams in using SIM3 for continuous development and enhanced collaboration among Thailand’s sectoral CSIRTs.

Training was organised in cooperation with National Cyber Security Agency of Thailand (NCSA).
