The 2nd phase of EU CyberNet, started in September 2025, aims to deepen and expand the EU’s cyber capacity building efforts through a strategic, coordinated and expert-driven approach. As the 2nd phase builds on the achievements and international recognition of the 1st phase, the Steering Committee discussed how the follow-up phase will scale up support to EU institutions and partner countries, broaden regional engagement in the Indo-Pacific and strengthen collaboration with other EU-funded initiatives to ensure coherence, complementarity and sustainability of results. Additionally, the Committee reviewed results of preparatory scoping activities and planned engagements with focus countries Fiji, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand aligned with other EU-funded projects contributing in the region such as GLACY-e, ESIWA+ and Octopus.

Additionally, EU CyberNet presented an overview of recent achievements, since September 2025, including 14 calls for action in cooperation with LAC4, community building activities like monthly Club Events and onboarding sessions for the Expert Pool, growing the Expert Pool to 561 experts and Stakeholder count to 123.
