EU CyberNet in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OAS) is assisting Costa Rica and Jamaica in defining cyber threats against critical national infrastructure as part of the larger effort by these countries to review and implement their National Cyber Security Strategies.

Through EU CyberNet CynAct platform a team of experts was convened from our Expert Pool, who will help the authorities in Costa Rica and Jamaica to determine, describe and analyse potential cyber threats against critical infrastructure, which is vital for improving the understanding of such threats and their impact to societies. This activity will also assist the countries in developing policies and measures for protecting critical infrastructure and support community building initiatives to enhance collaboration between public and private sectors.

EU CyberNet and Estonian Information System Authority as the implementer of the project has a long-standing collaboration with the OAS CICTE that has led to numerous joint trainings and sharing of expertise in the LAC region.

The EU CyberNet is yet another avenue of cyber capacity building cooperation and establishing secure cyber bridges between Europe and the Americas.
