Celebrating the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding with Brazil to establish cooperation in LAC4 activities

On 22 September 2022 EU CyberNet started an alliance with Brazil

On 22 September 2022 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Director General of the Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) and the Institutional Security Cabinet of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil (GSI/PR).

The meaningful MoU was signed by Lieutenant General Carlos José Russo Assumpção Penteado, the Vice-Minister of the GSI/PR and Mr Gert Auväärt, the Cyber Director of RIA.

RIA is implementing the EU CyberNet project and leading the establishment and operationalization of the Latin America and Caribbean Cyber Competence Centre LAC4. Based on the MoU, the upcoming comprehensive collaboration will lead to many joint activities and sustainable dynamics in the near future.

Regarding the MoU Brazil will contribute to the identification of cyber capacity-building needs and the development of the LAC4 training curricula to support the cybersecurity endeavors of Brazil and the LAC region.

Thereby, EU CyberNet commits to developing and implementing training to support the national cybersecurity objectives of Brazil through LAC4.

We are looking forward to implementing common measures and moving toward successful cooperation in the LAC region.
