Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Building coordination meeting

Sharing information among stakeholders who are active in cyber capacity building in Western Balkans to improve awareness and cooperation.

Over the past years, the Western Balkans have made significant efforts in strengthening region’s cyber resilience. The EU Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade (2020) states that the Western Balkans is a focus area for the EU’s cyber capacity building. Like other stakeholders, EU Member States and EU institutions have established many successful projects, however, the work would benefit from a better coordination and information exchange that would also facilitate the implementation and effectiveness of capacity building actions.

In this spirit, the EU CyberNet is organising on 19 May an online meeting of institutional implementers of cyber capacity building in the Western Balkans, with the aim of improving coordination and information exchange.

The European Commission services and the European External Action Service will provide an overview of the EU priorities in the region. The e-Governance Academy will introduce a Cybersecurity identification and formulation study on the Western Balkans followed by a tour de table by implementers to share information about their priorities and major milestones for foreseeable future.

By invitation only.
