The Global Digital Compact and the New Agenda for Peace

Online seminar for EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellowship programme participants on the Global Digital Compact and the New Agenda for Peace.

In 2021, The UN Common Agenda proposed a Global Digital Compact to be agreed at the Summit of the Future in September 2023 through a technology track involving all stakeholders, from governments and the private sector to civil society and academia. With its ambition to “outline shared principles for an open, free and secure digital future for all” this session will look at issues covered by the Global Digital Compact, including digital connectivity, avoiding Internet fragmentation, data protection, application of human rights online, and accountability criteria for discrimination and misinformation.

Seminar is part of the EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellowship programme.

Seminar is invite-only.
