Speakers:

  • Constantinos Patsakis
    1. Constantinos Patsakis is an Associate Professor at the University of Piraeus and adjunct researcher at Athena Research and Innovation Center. His main areas of research include applied cryptography, malware, security, privacy, and cybercrime.
    2. Digital evidence underpin almost all criminal investigations. However, the digital nature of the evidence implies many constraints on the collection, processing, and sharing among the different stakeholders. His talk will try to provide an overview of the challenges in the field highlighting the need for harmonisation of processes, methods, and the legal framework.
  • Cláudia Pina
    1. Judge since 1999 and Investigating Judge since 2009, sitting in the Criminal Investigation Court of Lisbon. Currently Coordinator of the Support Team to the European Judicial Cybercrime Network at Eurojust. Extensive experience in the pretrial judicial analysis of financial crime, corruption and cybercrime.
    2. She will cover key aspects and challenges of Digital evidence from judge perspective and shares some real-life cases.
