Cyber Diplomacy Training

EU CyberNet organises a cyber diplomacy training for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

The growing focus on cyberspace governance as a subject of international cooperation and strategic competition among states has increased the importance of cyber diplomacy capacity building. The aim of the training is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to become actively involved in international cyber diplomacy negotiations and processes in their countries. This will further the protection of the open, multi-stakeholder model of the internet and protect the rights of internet users worldwide, contributing to a safer global cyberspace.

Training is designed to diplomats and personnel from ministries, policymakers from public institutions, also professionals from the technical community who deal in cybersecurity focused areas. Participation is expected from the Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism; Ministry of Defence; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Science and Technology; Criminal Investigation Department; Sri Lanka CERT; Presidential Secretariat; and the Information and Communication Technology Agency.
