ASEAN-Japan CIIP Workshop

EU CyberNet expert presents in the ASEAN-Japan Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP) workshop on 4 August 2026 in Sapporo, Japan.

Kaira Vooremäe, representing EU CyberNet and Estonian Information System Authority will deliver a presentation in session on common challenges and initiatives critical information infrastructure (CII) sectors under the theme “Securing Critical Information Infrastructure Amid Emerging and Converging Threats”. In her presentation “Strengthening CI Resilience: From Policy to Practice”, she will share insights on both technical and policy approaches from the European Union and Estonia, including areas such as CII protection frameworks, regulatory practices and operational technology (OT) security.

Workshop will additionally discuss the latest threat trends and best practices in CII sectors such as finance, cryptography, academia, governance, and possible future developments and resilience in CIIP. Participants and speakers represent countries of Asia-Pacific region and Europe, including National Cyber and Crypto Agency of Indonesia (BSSN), Mitsubishi Research Institute, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Philippine CERT (PHCERT), Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), National Cybersecurity Office of Japan (NCO) and ESIWA+. Workshop is organised by BSSN and NCO.
