Advanced Power Grid Cyber Security Training Course and International Workshop on Critical Infrastructure Cyber Defence

EUCN is supporting the participation of 3 Ukrainian experts in the Advanced Power Grid Cyber Security Training Course (8–12 June) and the follow-on International Workshop on Critical Infrastructure Cyber Defence (15–16 June), organised in Tallinn by the Estonian Information System Authority for the Nordic-Baltic community of power grid operators.

The training will bring together experts from Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Ukraine to discuss real-world cyber attack scenarios targeting power grids and critical infrastructure.

The 5-day training course is designed for power grid professionals involved in configuring and planning protection relays, managing SCADA systems and operating substations or control rooms. The first day of the course provides foundational IT knowledge and introduces essential tools in preparation for the subsequent days, which focus extensively on OT cyberattack and defence scenarios.

The course is delivered in a dedicated and highly realistic OT environment, also used during the Locked Shields cyber defence exercise of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence.

The 2-day workshop conducted in the week following the training course will focus on attack scenarios that participating nations have experienced within their own networks, enabling practical discussion and exchange of lessons learned among experts.
